Apparently even in the future, the blue screen of death is something to contend with. D;
I guess this is the first piece of upload-worthy art that I've drawn for myself since.... last summer? So sad. I blame school. -_- Anyway, I was inspired to draw this by a Gaia avatar that I made recently. It ended up being a fun experiment with cel-shading, jewel effects, and lots and lots of glow. I'm generally too lazy to do backgrounds, but I think it adds a lot to this picture, even if it did take me forever. I really enjoyed using Photoshop's inorganic shape tools to create this, since I am used to drawing everything freehand. The background star field is courtesy of the Hubble telescope, but everything else was done by me and Photoshop CS2. |
